This is a 6061/ T6 Aluminum schedule 40, 1 1/2" X 24' plain end pipe.
Electric Resistance Welded. (ERW) used for bending, flanging and standard welding jobs. Pressure tested complies with ASTM B241 (Electrical Resistance Welded).
T6 temper 6061 has been treated to provide the maximum precipitation hardening (and therefore maximum yield strength) for a 6061-aluminum alloy. It has an ultimate tensile strength of at least 290 MPa (42 ksi) and yield strength of at least 240 MPa (35 ksi). Excellent joining characteristics, good acceptance of applied coatings. Combines relatively high strength, good workability, and high resistance to corrosion; widely available. Suitable for Aircraft fittings, camera lens mounts, couplings, marines' fittings and hardware, electrical fittings and connectors, decorative or misc. hardware, hinge pins, magneto parts, brake pistons, hydraulic pistons, appliance fittings, valves and valve parts; bike frames.
