These are a pound (1lb) of 14" Mild Steel Stick Electrodes with 3/32" Diameter, E7018 AWS Classification
Hobart® 7018 XLM Carbon Steel Stick Electrode measuring 3/32" is an iron powder electrode designed for DC reverse polarity or AC operation and is used for single or multiple pass, DCEP, AC, all position welding. It has a high deposition rate and features a quiet arc, minimal spatter and good restrike abilities. Electrode offers an excellent operator, and the weld puddle offers convenience when welding in either vertical or overhead position. It facilitates good slag removal and functions well in all positions. The stable arc enhances productivity and prevents starting porosity. Minimal cleaning is required after welding, and it is used for mild steel or for joining mild to alloy steels. It features extra low moisture, and the iron powder enhances the deposition rate. it is perfect for welding out-of-position tacking, low alloy structural, steel structures, field erections, offshore rigs, power plants. It conforms to AWS Spec A5.1, ASME SFA5.1, ABS and Lloyds standards.
Features
- Easy strike, re-strike and slag removal
- Premium arc performance
Applications
- Power generation
- Process piping
- Chemical processing structures
- Power generation
- Applications requiring stress-relieved conditions.
